Deadline to apply for scholarships is December 15
The Heber Springs Business and Professional Women’s Organization has announced the deadline for the 2009 Non-Traditional Scholarships is December 15.
The scholarships are available to persons attending ASU- Heber Springs. There are three $300 scholarships and two $200 scholarships that will be awarded based on academic achievement and application process.
Application requirements include: Applicant must be a current resident of Cleburne County, AR; applicant must be over the age of 21 years; applicant must have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours; and applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
Application process: Completion of submission for application form; submission of school transcript; and submission of an essay titled My Career Goals Are... The essay must not exceed 250 words.
Applicants must submit an application form, postmarked no later than December 15, along with a copy of your transcript and essay to:

Scholarship recipients will be announced in the Sun-Times.
Checks will be written to ASU- Heber Springs when the successful applicant provides confirmation of spring 2009 registration. Any scholarship monies not claimed by May 30, 2009 are considered as abandoned and will be added to the following year’s awards.
