3rd Annual SIDS Causes Heartache event raises money and awareness over the weekend

On Saturday, the 3rd Annual SIDS.Causes.Heartache. (SCH) Fundraiser Event was held in Spring Park.  SCH was founded and is directed by Paige and Clint Hipp, who lost their son Sky Charles Hipp in 2009 to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).  SIDS is the number one cause of death in infants between one month and one year of age and it is estimated around 2500 families a year lose a child to this unexpected and tragic affliction.  Events included a 5k Walk for Awareness, a Car & Bike Show, Poker Run, raffle, and many others.  All proceeds will be donated to the American SIDS Institute. More SIDS event photos can be found on 12B  of the April 18 print edition and to view photos of the events in Spring Park and the car show at Sugarloaf 66, visit the local photos and video sections on our web page at www.thesuntimes.com.
