John Wayne Taylor died on April 13, 2012
John Wayne Taylor, age 77, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away April 13, 2012. Born December 31, 1934, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Mary Lucinda Frazier Taylor and William Taylor. He was an active member of the West Pangburn Community Church.
Mr. Taylor enjoyed going to the Country Kitchen in Pangburn everyday and later in the day would be at the Senior Citizens Community Center visiting with friends. His hobbies included bowling, fishing and yard work.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ida Elizabeth Taylor, whom he married July 9, 1954; a sister, Dorothy Sidenstricker; two brothers, Edward and Albert (Pete) Taylor and one grandson, Mark Gebhard.
He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth (Jeanne) Bass and husband Boyd of Heber Springs, AR; one son, Johnny Franklin Taylor of Heber Springs, AR and a sister, Pauline (Polly) Copeland of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Doug Perry, Frank Taylor, Boyd Bass, Chris, Brian and Brandon Loethen.
Visitation hours were Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Services were held at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Good Springs Cemetery in the Pine Snag Community.
