Deuel Joseph "Joe" Brock died July 13, 2012

Deuel Joseph “Joe” Brock, age 78, of Heber Springs died July 13, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock. Born February 10, 1934, in Lee County, Arkansas he was the son of the late Bessie Mae Case Brock and Harvey Clay Brock. Mr. Brock was a US Navy veteran, real estate broker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs. During his lifetime he enjoyed hunting , fishing and spending time with his wife whom he married April 2, 1966. Joe and Alene moved to Heber Springs in 1973 and started Brock Real Estate. He served on the Eagle Bank Associate Board until his death. He is survived by his wife Alene Ford Brock of the home; four sons, Clay Brock of Texas, Dusty Brock of Nevada, Wendell and Steven Brock of Colorado; daughter, Nanette Smith and husband Bill of Lakeland, Tennessee; two brothers, Marvin Brock and wife Judy of Wynne, Arkansas and H.C. Brock of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two sisters, Violet Wooten and Eunice Dees both of Marianna, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Haley Alsbrook of Lakeland, Tennessee and Nicole Alsbrook of West Memphis, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Nickolas, Teleah and Christopher; thirteen other grandchildren; many nephews and countless friends all of who loved him and will miss him. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and one son, Tim. A memorial service was conducted 2:00 pm, Monday, July 16. 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with Brother Tommy Toombs officiating. Memorial may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
