Alfred "Hap" Glasco died July 14. 2012
Alfred “Hap” Glasco of Heber Springs, passed away at Baptist Health Hospital in Heber Springs on July 14th at the age of 82. Hap was born to James and Anna Tate Glasco on January 16, 1930 in Carlisle, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, George Glasco, Harold Glasco and Homer Glasco. He married the love of his life, Peggy Jo Floyd Glasco on May 14, 1951. To this union was born six children, Betty Jo Riddell of Heber Springs, Steven Glasco of Heber Springs, Larry Glasco of Fayetteville, Gary Glasco of Heber Springs, Vicky Noain of Chowchilla, CA, and Donnie Glasco of Heber Springs. Mr. Glasco also leaves behind eighteen Grandchildren and Thirty-Five Great Grandchildren. He was of the Baptist belief. Hap joined the Carpenters union in 1963 and spent the next thirty plus years doing construction work in Arkansas and California. After his retirement, he loved to spend his time fishing, hunting, camping and working in his garden. Hap is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and many friends. Services will be held at the chapel of Family Funeral Services at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 and will be officiated by Dr. J.R. Debusk. Private family burial will be at Hamilton Cemetery in Carlisle at a later date.
