Carl Wesley Ellis, 64, of Branson, MO, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2012. He departed this life at home surrounded by his family.
He was born October 13, 1947, in Dermott, Ark., son of Elbert and Mary Watson Ellis. He graduated from Lennox High School in Hawthorne, Calif. He worked for The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, Calif for 25 years. In 1972 he married Linda Alegria in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Prior to moving to Branson 2 years ago he and his wife were residents of Heber Springs, Ark for 20 years.
He loved cars, dogs, his only granddaughter Lilly, and the California desert where he lived for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Ellis.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Linda Ellis; daughter Lydia and husband Michael Rogers, and granddaughter Lilly Rogers of Russellville, Ark.; mother Mary Ellis, of Branson, MO; sister Arlene and husband Jim Russell, of Monticello, Ark.; nephew Sean Hogan and wife Danielle, of San Clemente, Calif; the Ellis family of Drew County, Ark.; the Alegria family of Carson, Calif; and his beloved dogs, Charley and Casey.
The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to all those who sent cards, flowers, prayers and well wishes.
No funeral services are planned. Private burial will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson, MO.
