Ted Davis, age 67, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Ted Davis, age 67, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born in Heber Springs, Arkansas, on May 5, 1945, he was the son of Louise and the late Lloyd Wallace. Mr. Davis was a retired carpenter, a United States Navy Veteran and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his mother; his wife, Glenda (Webb) Davis of Quitman, Arkansas; two sons, L.T. Davis and his wife Gina, of Quitman, Arkansas, and Tim Davis of Quitman, Arkansas; three sisters, Diane Strayhorn and her husband James of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Ollie Combs and her husband DeWayne of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Pam Goff and her husband Glen of Galveston, Texas; four grandchildren, Lake Davis, Macy Davis, Dillon Davis, and Dalton Davis. Mr. Davis is also survived by other relatives and many friends. Visitation were held Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Olmstead Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Olmstead Chapel with Bro. Dennis Knapp officiating. Pallbearers will be L.T. Davis, Tim Davis, Mike Combs, Lake Davis, Lester Hipp and Bob Stubbs. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dewayne Combs and Roy Archer. Burial will follow in the Sugarloaf Cemetery.
