Annie Lucille Roberts died August 9, 2012

Annie Lucille Roberts, age 80, of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the Southridge Village Nursing and Rehab Center in Heber Springs. Born at Drasco on March 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Dell Brewer and Dollie Ezell Brewer. A longtime resident of Cleburne County, Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and a retired employee of Community Water System. She spent many hours making quilts which were raffled and the proceeds donated to the Waychoff Senior Center in Heber Springs. A beautiful lady, Mrs. Roberts participated in beauty pageants that were held at Southridge while she was a resident there. Her religious belief was Baptist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cline Roberts, who passed away on June 21, 1971; her sister, Angie Mae Covington; and her nephew, John Earl Smith. Mrs. Roberts is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dorothy Philpot and her husband, Tim, of Greers Ferry, Joyce Welch of Hot Springs, Virgie Mae Lattin and her husband, J. C., of Bauxite, David Lee Smith of Conway, Mary Sue McElhaney and her husband, Lloyd, of Coalgate, Oklahoma, Janice Marie Phillips and her husband, James, of Benton, and James K. Smith of Van Buren; and her great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Roberts is also survived by other relatives and her many friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 12, at Olmstead Funeral Home from 3:00-5:00 p.m. A visitation will also be held Monday, Aug. 13, at the Shiloh Cross Roads Church at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:30 p.m. with Bro. Delane Hooten officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cross Roads Cemetery. Greg Adams, J. L. Elems, Leon Joslin, John Phillips, Buddy Lattin, Victor Phillips, Don Ware, and Paul Hartwick will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Earl Ezell and Southridge Village Nursing Home employees. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home.
