Helen Coldiron died August 13, 2012

Helen Coldiron, age 96, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, was born October 25, 1915, in Benzie County, Michigan. She fell asleep in death Monday, August 13, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Clara Schlegel; her husband, Roscoe "Curley" Coldiron; five brothers; and six sisters. She is survived and was loved by many nephews and nieces, other relatives, and a host of close friends. Helen was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on December 16, 1961. She was very proud to be a Witness and talked about her Creator at every opportunity she had. The Congregation in Heber Springs will sorely miss Helen's beaming smile. Her comments at Christian meetings were always upbuilding and prefaced by a scripture and her infamous quotation: "This is one of my favorite scriptures." She loved her Bible and you could always catch her reading it in her room at the Southridge Nursing Home. Outside her window, there was a regular and hummingbird feeders. She loved birds and especially hummingbirds. She felt they were one of the marvels of God's creation. Memorial service will be Saturday, August 18, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall on Sunny Meadow Lane in Heber Springs. Arrangements were by Olmstead Funeral Home. www.olmstead.cc
