During the past week two boats reported stolen this month were recovered by Sheriff's Office Investigators. On August 22nd a twenty-one foot Larson ski boat was reported stolen from Dave's Marine Repair in Drasco. The missing boat was located and recovered on August 31st at a residence on Water Lane in Concord. A marine battery and stereo equipment were missing from the boat when recovered. Investigators are continuing to investigate the incident and identify the individuals involved. On August 27th a camouflage aluminum “duck boat” along with the trailer and a 40 horsepower Yamaha outboard was reported stolen from a residence on Liberty House Road. The complainant reported that her dogs wokeher up barking and when she looked out the window she saw a small pickup driving across her yard pulling the boat. The boat and trailer were recovered on the 28th near Wilburn, minus the outboard. The 40 horsepower Yamaha was located in Jefferson County and investigators are working with the Sheriff's Office there to identify the suspects and recover the property.
