David Roger Whitton, SR. the son of Clyde J. Whitton and Anna Lou Wood Whitton was born in Paragould, Arkansas on September 26, 1945 and passed away in Heber Springs, Arkansas on September 1, 2012 at the age of 66 years.
David was a welder who worked on water towers and had been a drummer with the Don Rose Band. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and his religious belief was Baptist. He enjoyed fishing and collecting, some of the items he collected were hot wheel cars and beer steins. His hobbies were building log cabins and painting.
He is survived by his son David Roger Whitton, JR. of Estill Springs, Tennessee, a sister Mary Jordan of Drasco, Arkansas, 2 brothers Larry Whitton of Truman, Arkansas and Alvin Whitton of Higden, Arkansas and a nephew Wayne Whitton of Higden, Arkansas besides other relatives and many friends.
A visitation was held Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Family Funeral Service, 100 West Searcy Street, Heber Springs from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. and Funeral Services were held at Family Funeral Service Chapel on Monday, September 3, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Interment was in the Pine Log Cemetery at Brookland, Arkansas Monday afternoon by Rev. Sam Brown.
