ASU-Heber Springs held their third annual Fire on the Mountain

Despite the heat, ASU-Heber Springs' third annual Fire on the Mountain saw a large crowd of students and area citizens taking part in the festivities September 6 in the ASU-HS courtyard. The event had a luau theme with leis handed out to all who attended. Music played while participants laughed and talked and had a good time.

Free t-shirts were given to all ASU-HS students. Students also participated in the Passing of the Torch ceremony, where they stood together committing themselves to success.

Everyone participated in the many events such as limbo, 3-legged races, volleyball tournament, horseshoes, washers, tug-o-war, Frisbee, football, and water balloon toss at faculty.

Area businesses and groups were on hand with information and goodies for everyone. Also free chicken kabobs, fruit kabobs and fruit punch were available from the café.
