The 121st Cleburne County Fair opened on Tuesday with check in for the exhibits. Thursday held many events for Senior Citizen day.
Events included the annual pie contes, bingo, a hot dog cookout, the annual pioneer contest and the Carpenters, a family from Rose Bud who provided musical entertainment.
Friday brings School Bus day and events include a monster truck demo and Heber Theatre performing the play New Leash on Life at noon.
Saturday offers a full day's worth of fun beginning with a monster truck demo. The goat milking contest will be at 9 a.m. The junior livestock auction will be at 10 a.m. The pet parade will be at 1 p.m. The goat & owner costume contest, goat scramble, hula hoop, and stick horse race will begin at 2 p.m. Youth awards program, talent show, and beauty pageants will begin at 5 p.m. The beautiful bunny contest count and handsome rooster contest count will be at 5:30 p.m. The Imagine That band will perform at 6 p.m. and Indian Rodeo will perform at 7:30 p.m. Also on Saturday the bull buck will begin at 8 p.m.
The fair will run through September 8 at the Cleburne County Fairgrounds, located at 880 Bittle Road in Heber Springs.
