  • Matt Tinkle, also known as Coach Tink, with Tink's Tumblers will take part in an event that will be a dream come true. On October 1 he will be performing with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders during the half-time show at Dallas Stadium for Monday Night Football.
And if that wasn't enough, the weeklong practices and half-time show will also be aired on CMT's Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team.
"The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders do three big shows during the season," Coach Tink said. "A Breast Cancer Awareness show, which is the show I will be part of, a Thanksgiving show for the Salvation Army, and a Christmas show."
Coach Tink, who is a Texas native, is excited. "I grew up in Dallas and have been a hardcore fan of the Dallas Cowboys since I was 5," He said. "I always told my dad I would get on that field one day, but I never thought this career path would take me there."
Coach Tink is the owner and coach of Tink's Tumblers, a gym in Heber Springs where he teaches tumbling, gymnastics and cheer. "I will be doing everything I teach, dancing, tumbling, and stunting," he said. "I will be in Texas for a week and will be doing partner dancing and stunts with the cheerleaders."
"And the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders are at the top of the profession," Coach Tink said. "Everyone in the profession wants to become a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader."
Coach Tink began his career tumbling and gymnastics career at 18. "I started cheer in the spring," he said. "It's hard to believe I was able to get to the performance level I am at and cheer with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders in five months."
Tink's Tumblers is located at 2001 Hwy. 25B N. at the old Travis Boating Center. For more information, call 417-559-5604.
