  • Heber police receive reports of a number of thefts

  • On September 13, a woman reported a theft from her vehicle of her right and left rear plastic fender well covers while shopping in Wal-Mart.
    On September 15, a resident on North St reported tackle boxes and lures were stolen from her carport.
    On September 17, a teacher from Heber Middle School reported an iPod valued at $100 was missing from her classroom. Also on September 17, a woman reported 3 compete boxes of valuable rings were missing from her room at the Budget Inn.
    On September 22, police received a report of reckless driving. When the driver was stopped, the officer allegedly smelled a strong odor of intoxicants. The 33-year-old Heber man was given a field sobriety test. He was then arrested and charged with DWI-Drugs and Driving on a Suspended Drivers License.
    On September 23, police received a report that a possible intoxicated male was driving out of the Wal-Mart parking lot. Officers observed the reported vehicle run a stop light on Main & 7th. When the officer stopped the car and asked the 35-year-old Heber man how much he had to drink, the man allegedly responded, “too much, I am drunk”. After being arrested, the man is reported to have become verbally abusive with the jailors. He was charged with DWI, Refusal to Submit, and Disorderly Conduct.
