The other day I was speaking to a reader of this column. She finally said “you look familiar.” Later she said; oh you are the glycemic index lady!
I guess that description pretty much fits me, because for the last several years I have been teaching a Certified Diet Wellness Class. In this class we take into consideration a person’s genetics and the glycemic index.
What was the result of me staying on this certified program?
When I began this program I felt very overweight. Even though I was a fitness instructor, and had been into wellness for a long time, I still hadn’t found the key to weight loss or that perfect size.
Since that time, I have lost over 80 inches of fat, and more than 7 sizes. Now I feel like a normal person.
I love that feeling!!!
This woman continued by saying she really enjoys this column. which makes me feel like I am doing something to help our community-which is my purpose exactly. My mission is to help people who were just like me.
One thing we need to know is that we are all unique. We are all individuals with different genetic types. Of course low glycemic eating is the way everyone should eat so as not to spike blood sugar-which of course causes excess weight, diabetes, heart disease, etc. But, each diet should be specific to the individual’s genetic type.
This is why, when I conduct my classes, we do individual genetic typing. In that way, each person’s diet is designed exactly for them.
There is no—one size diet that fits all!
When you learn the best program for you, then you are much more comfortable while becoming the best you can be.
I am not encouraging anyone to becoming unhealthy-or very thin. When eating according to your unique genetic type it will help to normalizes you. It doesn’t promote you becoming a Twiggy clone. (if you don’t remember Twiggy, she was a stick thin unhealthy model-many years ago) But, it does make it much easier to become as normal as possible.
I love that fact, as my goals are to be as healthy and as normal as I can possibly be. I hope your goals are to improve your health as well.
When we lose excess fat the correct way, it helps us to improve our fat- to - lean ratio, and improves our bio markers of health (or aging). If you would like a copy of the bio markers of health just ask by email and I’ll send them to you.

So, for the lady I was speaking to, you are invited to contact me about my next class.
Don’t hesitate; the reason is, after I begin a class, no one can join. I want everyone to have the complete wellness program.
I want to do everything I can to help you here in our community to become more vital, healthier and able to enjoy your life even more than you do now. Health and Wellness is very important, because what do you have if you don’t have your health?
How would I put improving my size and health in a nutshell? To become as healthy as possible, you need to move, yes be active on a regular basis, and also need to eat healthy and appropriately for you.
So, from the Glycemic Index Lady--you and those you love are worth the time, expense and effort to reach your optimal size and most importantly--your health.
