  • Margie's Haven House is hosting The Silent Witness Project on October 24 and 25 at ASU- Heber Springs.
    In 1997, the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence initiated The Arkansas Silent Witness Project.
    Life sized, red figures representing Victims who were murdered by their spouses, ex-spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend or ex's in the previous year.
    The Witnesses tell the victims' stories in exhibits across the state.
    Representing 2011 in the State of Arkansas, there will be a silhouette for the 13 women, who lost their life to domestic violence and there is one silhouette representing all the unknown victims across the state of Arkansas.
    Please come view the display in the Education Building of ASU-Heber Springs on October 24 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and October 25 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    If you are a victim of violence, there is caring help available. The Domestic Violence Program at Margie's Haven House. There is a 24 hour crisis line, 362-6757, where you can get help. T
    his is a confidential shelter with women's support, crisis counseling, court/hospital advocacy, information and referral. Plan your move. Don't forget money, checkbook, important papers, clothing, medication, picture and Social Security number of abuser, etc.
