The Cleburne County Library and Greers Ferry Branch Library will be celebrating Children’s Book Week from November 10 -17. Children’s Book Week is a time to celebrate children’s literature both at the library and in the home. The Cleburne County Library encourages parents to bring their children to the library and to share the joy of reading with them. There is no better way to make reading fun for your children than to make it a family activity. You will have a great time with your family and the experience will benefit your children throughout their life.
In celebration of Children’s Book Week, the Cleburne County Library in Heber Springs will hold a book drawing, sponsored by the Cleburne County Friends of the Library, on November 17. A copy of “Disney’s 5-Minute Stories” will be given to a child, a copy of the “Guinness World Records 2013” will be given away to an older youth, and a copy of “The Pioneer Woman Cooks” by Ree Drummond will be given away to an adult. You may register at the library starting November 10. Only children and teens may register for the youth books. The Greers Ferry Branch Library will also be giving away books in a separate drawing. You do not have to be present to win. They will also be giving away special book bags while supplies last.
If you have overdue library books that you have not returned because you do not want to pay fines, now is the time to bring those books back! Any library materials returned between November 10 and November 17 will not incur a fine. Existing fines on previously returned materials are not excused. Please help the library maintain its collection by returning these items. For more information contact the Cleburne County Library at (501) 362-2477 or the Greers Ferry Library at (501) 825-8677.
