Anderson and her sister Phillis Anderson. Joan was of Baptist faith and a member of Harris Chapel Church of Wynne.
Those that will miss her very much are her husband of 38 years, John Hampton; son, Jonathan and wife Shannon; daughter Jill and husband Toby; Her grandchildren, Jonathan Madix Hampton, Isaac Acey Stroud and Isabelle James Stroud; one sister, Louis Vaughn; three brothers, Don, Carter, and Keith Anderson; and her mother Lillie. Every member of her family, niece and nephew, friends that were a special part of her life, and her extended family, held a special place in her heart.
Joan grew up in Wynne, Arkansas. After graduating high school, she went to work in Wynne for many years. In 2003, she finally moved to the place she loved the most, Heber Springs where she continued to work for the rest of her life. She spent her weekends on the lake enjoying friends and family. Being on the lake was where she was the happiest, and the only place she didn’t work and was able to rest. She also enjoyed chasing her 3 grandchildren and had them by her side until death.
