Thomas Albert Herrington, age 76, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012, at his home. Born in Thomaston, Georgia, on November 26, 1935, he was the son of the late Dewey Camron and Ruby Dupree Herrington.
Mr. Herrington was employed as an area director for Cameco Industries, working in Europe and Africa. He proudly served our country in the United States Marines, attaining the rank of corporal.
Mr. Herrington was a member and served as a governor of the Moose Lodge. His religious belief was Baptist.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Herrington was preceded in death by his siblings, Cecil Herrington, Pauline Dupree, Opal Herrington, Olnie Herrington, Bradford Herrington, and Mae Godwin; and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Herrington is survived by his wife, Bonnie Herrington; three children, Connie Heidari and her husband, Mohammad, Trish Parish and her husband, Roger, and Mark Herrington and his wife, Tiffany; two brothers, Charles Herrington and Fred Herrington; ten grandchildren, Andre Heidari, Josh Hudson, Hannah Hudson, Maggie Shaver, Adam Kirk, Sara Kirk, Dawn Masson, Lauren Hudson, Corey Hudson, and Tyler Hudson; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Herrington is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
Visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 25, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 26, at 10:30 a.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Rev. Chris Rollins and Rev. Salquie Norsworthy officiating. Interment with military honors followed in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens. www.olmstead.cc
