Robert L. Brecheen, 69, of Heber Springs, formerly of Trumann and Harrisburg, entered into rest on November 24, 2012 at the Hospice Unit of the VA Hospital in Little Rock. Robert was born August 4, 1943 in Harrisburg, He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Rosie Brecheen, his son, Robert Jr., a daughter, Carrie Kay and a brother, David.
He is survived by his daughters, Judy Eich and Glenda and her husband Bo Eich, his brothers, Marion and Wayne of Colt and Alex (Bill) and his wife Earlene of Bee Branch, his sisters, Thelma Long of Palestine, Betty Gray of Dixie, and Wilma and hcr husband, Bob Smith of Drasco, and his grandchildren, Nichole Nordquist, Kory Brecheen, Karl Ward, and Misty Eich.
Robert attended Harrisburg High School, and served his country in the U. S. Navy aboard the guided missile destroycr, U.S. Conyingham. Robert liked to fish and to visit with his many friends. He was always there for his neighbors, whether it was to mediate differences or to provide transportation for medical appointments. He looked forward to family gatherings and spending time with his brothers and sisters and their families. Robert was a student of God's Word, and felt blessed to attend church in the company of lollowers of Christ. His greatest joy was spending time with his much-loved daughters and his grandchildren. .
As his final gift of love, Robert donated his remains to medical science. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 9, at 3:00 p.m. at the Christian Church, 521 W. Main Street, Trumann, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Trumann Christian Church.
