Dorothy “Dot” Mae Joyner Dixon, 92 of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born on Tuesday, November 9, 1920 in Banks, (Bradley County) Arkansas, to the late Walter C. and Annie Sue Quimby Joyner. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William E. “Bill” Dixon. Dorothy was a faithful wife, mother, and long time member of the Thunderbird Country Club.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters - Debbie Campbell and Donna Wingo both of Germantown, Tennessee;
five grandchildren - Molly Campbell Ross, Tighe Campbell, Jack Campbell and Aubrey Wingo Bunch and Megan Wingo; other relatives and many friends.
Private family graveside services was at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Cleburne County Memorial Gardens in Heber Springs. The family suggests in lieu of flowers for memorials to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Memphis, Tennessee in Dorothy’s memory.
