Two were killed in a car crash on Christmas day.
According to the Arkansas State Police report, Jonathan Haddock, driving a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire, was heading north on Highway 36 at Beckett Mountain Road in Faulkner County, when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy road, causing the vehicle to slide into the southbound lane striking the front of a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by James Vanoven of Rose Bud.
The Sunfire then slid onto the east shoulder of the roadway coming to rest in the ditch facing north. The Tahoe slid to the west shoulder and came to rest in the ditch facing south.
According to the report, two children in the Sunfire, Cloe Meredith and Anastasia Meredith, both of Pangburn, were killed. Both Jonathan Haddock and Billi Meredith of Pangburn were injured in the accident and taken to Conway Regional Hospital.
Both Vanoven and a passenger, Chaila Forsberg of Rose Bud, were injured and taken to Conway Regional.
According to the police report, it was sleeting and raining and road conditions were icy.
