  • Lady Panthers pick up two conference wins

  • The Heber Springs Lady Panthers improved to 13-2 overall and 4-0 in 2-4A Conference play with a 61-43 win at Southside Batesville on Thursday followed by a 60-25 triumph over Pine Bluff Dollarway on Friday at the Panther Den.

  • The Heber Springs Lady Panthers improved to 13-2 overall and 4-0 in 2-4A Conference play with a 61-43 win at Southside Batesville on Thursday followed by a 60-25 triumph over Pine Bluff Dollarway on Friday at the Panther Den. In Thursday's win over the Lady Southerners, senior point guard Devrie Attendorn led Heber with 22 points, junior guard Hannah Johnson added 16 points and sophomore forward Mackenzie Martin chipped in 12 points. On Friday, Heber defeated the Lady Cardinals 60-25 as Martin led the way with 16 points and senior guard Courtney Reed followed with 13 points. Also, junior guard Skylar Johnson registered 11 points and twin sister Hannah Johnson tallied 10 points. The first-place Lady Panthers resumed conference play Tuesday at home against Newport before embarking on a three-game road swing, starting with a game at Lonoke on Friday. Next Tuesday, Jan. 15 the Lady Panthers visit Clinton, and Friday, Jan. 18 Heber travels to Marianna-Lee. Heber's next home is scheduled for Jan. 22 against Southside, then the Panthers hit the road for another three-game road swing with games at Stuttgart, Newport and Dollarway.
