Lindsey’s Resort (501-302-3139) said the water is low and muddy with no generators running. Trout are biting well on Power Bait and wax worms with a marshmallow floater. Fly-fishing is good.  Just Fishing Guides said water releases have been very low with most days having no generation. Standard winter flies have been working well.  Greers Ferry  As of Wednesday, the Army Corps of Engineers reports the lake’s elevation at 462.95 feet msl (normal conservation pool – 461 msl).  Tommy Cauley of Fish Finder Guide Service said the water level is 1.89 feet above normal pool; it came up more than 8 feet from the recent rains. The surface water temperature is in the high 30s to mid-40s . The hybrids and whites were on a tear all over the lake before the rain, and should be back at it after the lake settles from the runoff. Hair jigs, grubs, spoons and in-line spinners will work in 25- 65 feet of water. Walleye slowed with the murky water, but will improve once the water clears again. The best luck has been on jigs tipped with minnows and crankbaits. The crappie are moving after the rise and will get settled and bite again in 12-25 feet on jigs, Road Runners and minnows. The bass bite will pick up again, especially in the dirt after the rise, try pitching baits to brush along the mudline and offer a slow presentation. Fish on secondary points should be fair on small jigs and jighead worms. Deep bass will be scattered, but those on the bottom should bite Carolina-rigged lizards and football head jigs. Suspended bass will bite better on crankbaits and the Arkansas claw.  Cody S. Smith of www.fishgreersferry.com filed no report
