  • On Jan. 6, 2013, Beatrice G. Nichols, formerly of Steele, Mo, peacefully left her Earthly home at Charleston Manor Skilled Nursing Facility in Charleston, Mo. to move on to her Heavenly Home. She was born Oct. 20, 1933 in LaForge, Mo. to Claude L and Lela Mae (Northcutt) Jennings.
    On Oct. 20, 1948 she was married to Albert Leroy Nichols of Steele, Mo. She and Leroy lived most of their lives in Steele. She was a member of Steele Assembly of God where she served as church secretary and treasurer for over 30 years. She was a loving, caring, Christian woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
    Those proceeding her in death were her husband, Leroy Nichols; mother and father Claude Jennings and Lela Northcutt Cook Jennings Hurley; step-father Ray Hurley; in-laws Fred Nichols and Nora Lee Reagan Nichols; son-in-law Britt Coy Grice; niece Sandra Jennings Evans; and nephew David Nichols.
    Beatrice is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Jerry Whittington of Charleston, Mo. and Debbie and Kenny Gilmer of Heber Springs Ar. Three granddaughters, Jennifer Hall and husband Chris of Blodgett, Mo.; Laura Beth Whittington and fiancé Todd Scott of Sikeston Mo.; Dawn Grice Bommarito and special friend Donnie Hafemeister of Heber Springs Ar. One grandson, Britt Coy "BC" Grice II and wife Tiffany of Heber Springs. Eight great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Kaylee Hall, Makenzie Pullen, Ryan and Joey Bommarito, Justice, Britt III, and Leela Grice. Two brothers, Alvin Cook Jr and Lavada of St Louis Mo. and W.C. "Dub" Jennings and Jeannie of Blytheville, Ar. and a host of nieces and nephews.
    Rev Charles Clark of Kennett, Mo. and Rev. Gerald Penn of Charleston, Mo. officiated the services. Pall bearers were Jerry Whittington, Kenny Gilmer, Chris Hall, "BC" Grice, Todd Scott and Raymond DePriest.
    Music was provided by children and grandchildren, Pam, Debbie, Jennifer, Laura Beth, Dawn and "BC". Videography was provided by son-in-law, Kenny Gilmer.
    Services were Tuesday, Jan 8, 2013 at John W German Funeral Home in Steele, Mo. Internment at Mt. Zion cemetery in Steele, Mo.
