Concord captured its second consecutive 1A-2 South District Tournament championship on Saturday at Midland with a 73-64 victory over Cleburne County rival West Side.
Electrifying junior guard Jacob Roark led the Class 1A No. 6 ranked Pirates (32-7) with a game-high 45 points and forward Ryan Cornelison added 13 points.
Center Ben Hargrove led West Side (26-9) with 22 points, while guards Bryce Hipp and Logan Bailey each scored 16.
Concord, which has won three of four against West Side this season and finished conference and district play with an unblemished record of 16-0, reached the finals with a 73-54 win over South Side Bee Branch.
Roark led the Pirates with 28 points, Cornelison followed with 16, forward Hanse Bowman had 13 and power forward Ethan Hebert finished with 12.
Concord opens Class 1A, Region 3 play tonight at 8:30 p.m. in Greers Ferry.
