Berniece “Susie” Warner, 82, of Heber Springs, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2013. She was born January 22, 1931 to Carlos and Cenith Hudgens. Susie had a heart for helping those in need. She would always find an individual or a stray animal that needed an extra amount of love. Susie had a passion for children with learning disabilities, and loved to assist in their learning to read. She had volunteered with the Cleburne County Aging Program and the American Cancer Society, and afterwards became a cancer survivor herself.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Miles E. Warner.
She is survived by her daughter, Eva “Cissy” Warner; son, Miles Dennis Warner; two brothers, Jack (Phyllis) Hudgens and Bill (Velda) Hudgens; one sister, Eva Belt; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at Quitman United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, with interment at 2:00 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lonoke.
