    This is the day ... to get creative.

    Lots of people tell me they don't have a creative side. The truth is, almost everyone has a creative side - you just have to make time to find it. Once you do, you may be surprised what you can create. I have lots of items to choose from but this piece probably says it all. "This is the day that the Lord has made." If you know the rest of the verse - made popular by the song - "I will rejoice and be glad in it." I'm always glad when I have a few hours to sit down with a paint brush and let my creativity flow. Why not join me some Saturday? If there's not a group meeting that day, we'll get together and paint anyway.

    Day the Lord Made Rock

    1. Basecoat center of the rock with peinture.  When dry wet brush with toast.
    2. Basecoat remaining area black.
    3. Dry brush rock toast, using three to four coats to achieve the desired color. Highlight with October Bronze –three to four coats.
    4. Dry brush leaves and frog with shadow green, highlight with leaf green.  Lightly dry brush toast randomly on the frog.
    5. Dry brush flowers Christmas red, Christmas red mixed with white, lightly with fuchsia fantasy and white.  Paint center of pedal with Christmas red and mix Christmas red with white and pat on.
    6. Butterfly dry brush navy, forget-me-knot blue add a touch of white to the forget-me-knot blue and highlight.  Very lightly and randomly dry brush Christmas red.  Paint body obsidian black.
