Senior shortstop Alexis Ingram paced the Lady Panthers, who evened their record in league play at 1-1, finishing 3-for-5 with 2 RBI, 2 stolen bases and 1 run. Skye Miller (1-for-3), Courtney Verser (1-for-3) and Kaitlyn Bradke (1-for-3) each contributed a base hit and all three drove home 2 runs for Heber, tying Ingram with a team-high 2 RBIs. Miller, who leads the team with a batting average of .522, also had 3 stolen bases and scored 2 runs, while Verser and Bradke each scored one run. Hannah Mangum led the Lady Panthers with 3 runs scored after reaching base safely on 2 walks and one hit-by-pitch. Makenzie Martin, who drew two walks, also scored one run for Heber. Courtney Rackley (3-4) picked up the win on the mound, scattering seven hits and striking out four, while issuing four walks and allowing four earned runs, including three in the bottom of the seventh as the Lady Ricebirds attempted to rally out of an 11-1 hole. The Lady Panthers are scheduled to host Dardanelle on Thursday. Heber defeated the Lady Sand Lizards 2-1 in a thrilling 10-inning game earlier in the season.
