  • Randy L. Guinn, of Wilburn, AR, was born July 22, 1969 in Clinton, AR.  He departed this world on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the young age of 43.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca, daughter Natasha Smith of Forney, TX and daughter Hope and son Colt of the home, his parents, Bob and Aletha Galbraith, of Clinton and David and Mae Guinn of Morganton, a brother Ronnie (Teresa) Guinn of Barney, sisters, a stepbrother, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  A stepbrother, Dwight West, preceded him in death.

Immediately after graduating from Clinton High School in 1987, Randy proudly began serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, advancing to the rank of sergeant in just a few short years.  His tours included Okinawa, Grenada, Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Panama, and Hawaii.  He served with distinction and earned several ribbons, awards, and medals, including Good Conduct, Liberation of Kuwait, Humanitarian Service, and Civil Defense.

The discipline and patriotism that he learned from the Marines never left him, as family and coworkers will attest.  He was currently working as supervisor at American Oil Field Service of Heber Springs.  He was an avid sportsman.

Randy was a hard-working man who loved his family and enjoyed making people laugh.  Those who knew him will remember his smile and his zest for life.  God has him in his keeping; we have him in our hearts.  Sadly missed but never forgotten.

Internment will be Wednesday, April 3 at 1pm in the Arkansas State Veterans’ Cemetery located at 1501 W. Maryland Ave in North Little Rock, AR.  Everyone is to meet at noon at Arkansas Funeral Care & Crematory (2620 W. Main St., Jacksonville, AR).  The Patriot Guard will escort Randy from this location.
