  • Employees and management of St. Jean Industries, Inc., in Heber Springs, joined the aid efforts for victims of the Oklahoma tornado.

Under the guidance of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention Disaster Relief, St. Jean put together 20 Buckets of Love, Thursday, May 23.  Each 5-gallon bucket contains 12 bottles of water, 2 flashlights, 4 towels, 3 pairs of gloves and 2 rolls of toilet paper.  These are the items considered to fill the most pressing needs of relief workers and victims of the tornado.

Employees and leadership of the automotive components manufacturing facility worked together to prepare and complete the buckets.  The sealed buckets were delivered to the Baptist State Convention Disaster Relief program Friday, May 24, for delivery to Oklahoma tornado victims on the next available truck.

All the supplies in the Buckets of Love were provided and paid for by the company. Participation in the program was authorized by Heber Springs Plant Manger Pat Bowens and sanctioned by the company’s corporate headquarters in Belleville, France, as part of a continuing effort to give back to the communities where its facilities are located.
