You pray, nothing happens.  You pray some more, still nothing happens.  You step it up another notch...and yet, your circumstance remains the same.

I don’t know about you, but there have been times when I have become emotionally exhausted from praying the same prayer over and over again.  And when things doesn’t develop at the pace I want them to, I began to wonder if something is wrong with my communication.   “Hello God, can you hear me?” “I have a problem that need your immediate attention.”

This is exactly how most of us feel when we don’t get our prayers answered right away. We grow impatient and when the waiting process takes a toll on us, we become down right miserable.  We want what we want and we want it right now.

However, God doesn’t always give us the “low down” on how and when He is going to answer our prayers.  We just have to have faith and accept the truth that He has perfect timing and He knows what’s best for us.

I know you too, have had your own personal trial with waiting.  But in the long run it will work out better on your behalf if you just hold strong instead of trying to fix it yourself.        Even though you can’t see it, but God is at work in your life.  He will suddenly show up in an extreme way, letting you know that He hear your prayers, and ultimately He hasn’t forgotten you.  Keep your focus on Him, and He will give you the strength to get through the waiting period.

Having patience can be tough sometimes, but regardless of how hard it gets, continue hoping and believing and trusting that God has worked everything out... And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  (Romans 8:28)
