pocahontas stroll the square bandSpend the Fourth of July in downtown historic Pocahontas as the community hosts Stroll the Square Gallery Walk on July 4 from 6-8 p.m. Stroll the Square is a monthly eventpocahontas stroll the square keep calm dedicated to showcasing the downtown businesses and local artists. Participants can meet and greet artists, watch demonstrations, enjoy live music and sample great food. This monthís event is patriotic themed and features a community picnic. Travel the former route of the Missouri Pacificís Delta Eagle passenger train by bicycle on July 6 when the delta heritage trailDelta Heritage Trail State Park near Helena-West Helena hosts Bike the Rail on July 6. A park interpreter leads participants along the path, exploring some of the areaís diverse history and natural beauty. The bike ride takes about two hours and covers approximately 10 miles. The fee is $10 and includes bike rental if necessary. Contact the Delta Heritage Trail State Park at 870-572-2352 for details.
