Bobby Mooney died June 29, 2013

     Bobby E. Mooney, age 74, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, at his home.  Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on January 29, 1939, he was the son of the late Howard Bryant and Vyceil (Pendergrass) Mooney, and he was raised by his Uncle Joe and Aunt Lyda Sovada and his Aunt Sue Vance.
     Mr. Mooney retired from the 16th Judicial Court District as a probation officer, and he served as Justice of the Peace for District 7 of Cleburne County.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Mooney was also a Heber Springs business owner, a 32nd Degree Mason, and attended the First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs.  
     In his early years, Mr. Mooney raced sprint cars and motorcycles and also loved restoring antique cars and trucks with his son Jamey.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Arkansas Vintage Scooters and Blue Knights Chapter 6.  
     Mr. Mooney is survived by his wife, Lynn Dee Brewer Mooney of Heber Springs; two sons, Jamey Mooney and his wife, Daylean, of Heber Springs and Ronnie Mooney and his wife, Debi, of Sheridan; one daughter, Tonya Neal and her husband, Todd, of Alexander; one brother, Howard Mooney and his wife, Brydie of Hot Springs; one sister, Georgia Havens and her husband, Jerry, of North Little Rock;
seven grandchildren, Aimee, Jessica, Dustin, and Joe Mooney, and Tracy, Taylor, and Tanner Neal; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Mooney is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
     Visitation wasTuesday, July 2, at Olmstead Funeral Home .  A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 3, at the First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs officiated by Rev. Tommy Toombs.
     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs.   Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home.
