Hello everyone. I hope you enjoyed our recent Health Expo as much as I did.
I want to thank everyone who stopped by to visit. I learned some things you want and need in this column to pursue your own health and wellness. Your needed health improvements are giving me ideas about future columns. I also appreciated learning about ways to become more Self-Reliant or as they define it now, a Sustainable Lifestyle.
To begin this event we enjoyed listening to Dr. David Lipschitz. He spoke of our age as just the beginning of life, and he encouraged us to live with passion, love, laughter and great nutrition- to name just a few important ways of nourishing our own health. Then he added that our attitude or state of mind ( such as -we are wonderful and just beautiful) is also very important in helping us promote health and longevity. It was an excellent kick off for the Health Expo.
I thought we had a very good mix of health agencies that were available to the three to four hundred ( or so) that enjoyed the variety of health wise provisions; the hospital, eye doctors, many medical screenings, our fire department, safety measures, our Community Garden, and natural wellness methods. They people were smart to take advantage of the health screenings, and many other avenues of information to either keep well or to adjust health to enjoy life even more.
Many business owners that didn’t have a booth this first time indicated that they would next year, as they saw so many people taking advantage of our Health Expo this very first year. This was the reason it was deemed a great success.
If you didn’t make it this year, be sure to come next year. It is important to be proactive in your own Health and Wellness. I will look for you then.
You and those you love will be happy you did.
