  • On August 31, Officers with the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and the Greers Ferry Police Department, acting on a tip, seized a suspected methamphetamine lab at a residence on Obrien drive by the ballparks in Greers Ferry.
Officers received an anonymous tip and responded to the residence where they spoke with the homeowner, while at the residence officers were able to see enough items of contraband and signs of criminal activity to detain the homeowner and obtain a search warrant.
Officers then executed a search warrant on the home and were able to collect enough evidence to charge the homeowner, Andrew Hines 50 of Greers Ferry, with possession of paraphernalia with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
Andrew Hines was transported to the Cleburne County Detention Center and given $50,000 bond.
On September 19, Cleburne County Narcotics and Criminal Investigators were able to obtain search warrants for two pieces of property in the Mud Cat Road area near Heber Springs.
The first search warrant was executed at #10 River Bend Cove and the second at 291 Mud Cat rd. Both properties were owned or occupied by Michael Brown.  During the execution of the search warrants officers located suspected marijuana growing and several items of suspected drug paraphernalia.
Michael Brown 60 of Heber Springs was arrested and booked into the Cleburne County Jail on manufacturing marijuana, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and maintaining a drug premise.
