The featured pet of the week is Georgie
Love is one of the easiest and most satisfying emotions we can experience and that loving bond between a person and their pet is a wonderfully unique thing. Pets show unconditional love in a way that is virtually impossible to get anywhere else. In showing this love and loyalty, they put their ultimate trust people to take care of them and love them in return. Unfortunately, there are many pets that have been abandoned or abused or find themselves alone for a host of other reasons. In a continuing effort to provide caring homes for deserving pets, the Heber Springs Humane Society and The Sun-Times have teamed up to showcase a featured pet.
The featured pet of the week is Georgie: Georgie is a medium-sized female Shepherd/Husky mix, about 40 pounds. This is a highly intelligent, playful dog with high energy and high trainability. She is alert, curious, and speedy. She enjoys toys, especially the rope. She throws it up in the air and then catches it. . She is curious about other dogs, and she loves human attention. After playing with her in the dog park for a while, we realized that she was probably smarter than the average human. This is a dog that needs to be active and involved. Georgie is a delightful bundle of mischief, and she needs a forever home and her own forever person.
