The Junior Ramblers regained a 4-2 lead on point guard Brandon Lemieux's runner in the lane, but Quitman guard Garrett Kennedy countered with a three-pointer from left wing.
A long drought ensued for the final two and a half minutes of the first quarter, leaving the Junior Bulldogs ahead, 5-4.
Quitman extended its lead on a slashing layup by forward Devyn McVay, but Blacksmith swiped a steal and scored. After McVay hit a free throw, Blacksmith scored off a backside lob, tying the score at 8-8.

The Jr. Ramblers used a 6-2 surge to gain some breathing room, taking a 24-14 lead on Gray's three-pointer from left wing.
Quitman forward Michael Lewis responded with a putback, whittling Rose Bud's lead to 24-16 entering the final eight minutes of play.
Nix hit two free throws and Blacksmith notched a stick back as Rose Bud built a double figure lead early in the fourth quarter and cruised down the stretch.
In the final four minutes, Gray drilled a three-pointer, Lemieux picked a steal and scored, Gallaway made two free throws and guard Jordan Coughlin picked a steal and dropped a driving scoop shot in heavy traffic as the Jr. Ramblers closed the game with authority.
