James McAnear died December 8, 2013

    James Darvin McAnear, age 64, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs.  He was born in Heber Springs on April 30, 1949.
     A lifelong resident of Heber Springs and owner of McAnear Kustom Kabinets, Darvin was a perfectionist and took pride in every task he did.  He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family.  Darvin never met a stranger, and he knew someone everywhere he went.
     He was preceded in death by one daughter, Amber Howard; one brother, Donnie McAnear, and his father, Cleon McAnear.  
     Darvin is survived by his wife, Jodi (Forte) McAnear; one son, Eric McAnear; two daughters, Pam Bender and husband Scott and Jeri Foster; parents, Billie Lou and Sanford Birdsong;
one sister, Cynthia Thacker and husband Butch; one grandson, Trey Alton and wife Liz;
and two great grandchildren, Jude and Adrianna.
Darvin is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
     Visitation was Wednesday, Dec. 11, in the Olmstead Chapel with memorial services following.
