Roy Lee Bailey died February 10, 2014

     Roy Lee Bailey of Memphis, TN, went to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, February 10, 2014.  Born on June 28, 1938, at Miller, AR, he was the second son of Oather D. Bailey and Ella Ann (Davis) Bailey.  After graduating Heber Springs High School, Roy joined the U.S. Navy which prepared him for leadership roles in a sales/marketing career that took him to California, New Orleans, Texas, New York with the longest tenure in Memphis.  He loved his work and carried on the tradition of determination, honesty, and hard work that was taught to him by his father and mother.  Roy loved the big city, the big city life, making numerous friends, business associates, and customers, his larger than life personality with his love for conversation.  He was strong of heart and mind and valued honesty in others above all else.  Roy loved his family and expressed his gratitude to them during the last days of his life.  He said he was a rich man as God had blessed him in that he was surrounded by those that loved him.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; one nephew, Brian Lynn Hayes; and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Wynne.  Survivors include two brothers, Billy D. (Norma) Bailey of Oakland, AR, and Tommy J. Bailey of Edgemont, AR; two sisters, Margie Wynne of Heber Springs and Barbara J. (Danny) Hayes of Searcy, AR; nieces and nephews.
     The family is very grateful to the staff of The Crossings at Riverside and Arkansas Hospice for their loving kindness and devotion to our brother.
     Private family graveside services will be held at Shiloh Cross Roads Cemetery.
