  • Arkansas head basketball coach Mike Anderson was the guest speaker at the 7th Annual Greers Ferry Lake Area Razorback Club’s banquet on Thursday at the Heber Springs Community Center.
Anderson, who took over as head coach three years ago after stints at Missouri and UAB,  was an assistant coach under Nolan Richardson when the Razorbacks won the 1994 NCAA National Championship.
Scotty Thurman, who hit the famous game-clinching three-point shot in the national title win over Duke and now serves as an assistant, also spoke briefly at the banquet.
Former Razorback standout Pat Bradley was also present and all three signed autographs for the eager audience, which packed the community center.
The Greers Ferry Lake Area Razorback Club, which also hosts a banquet in Clinton, contributed $22,250 to the Razorback Foundation this year
