Larry Wade Dickerson died July 5, 2014
Larry Wade Dickerson was born to Eugene and Nora Verlee Dickerson on May 18, 1941 in Kilgore, Texas. He had three brothers: Wayne, William and Thomas. He resided in Texas until he was 9 years old, when he and his family moved to Drasco, Arkansas.
He joined the United States Air Force in 1958 until he was honorably discharged in 1962. He then moved back to Odessa, Texas, where he soon met Frances Turner. They were married in Big Lake, Texas on May 5, 1966. Larry started a successful plumbing business called "Big Blade" in 1974.
He and wife Frances had three children: Mitchell, Jacqueline and Jennifer. They also cared for three grandchildren whom he thought of as his own: Kendall, Amber and Jamie. Fishing, poker and his friends and family were his delight in life.
He departed this world after a long struggle with illness on Saturday, July 5, 2014. Larry was preceded in death by both parents, Eugene and Nora Verlee, and two brothers, Thomas and Wayne.
He is survived by his brother Bill; his wife Frances; his children Mitchell, Jackie, Jennifer and Donnie (Spriggle); grandchildren Kendall and Josh Stubbs, Amber, Jamie, Whitney, Gedde, Miranda, Emily, Dalton, Paige and Cheyenne; and one great-grandchild Khloei Stubbs.
