The next Cleburne County Commodity Distribution by CAPCA will be Friday, August 8th, from 8:30 to 11:30am.

The next Cleburne County Commodity Distribution by CAPCA will be next Friday, August 8th, from 8:30 to 11:30am.  The distribution will take place at the National Guard Armory, located at 701 S. 7th St in Heber Springs.


Canned green beans, canned carrots, canned corn, frozen blueberries, orange juice, and dried cranberries are on the list of items being given on during this distribution.


These commodities will be given out on a first come, first serve bases and those interested much provide a declaration of household income and a photo ID.  According to CAPCA, if you are picking up commodities for someone else, you are required to have a statement that has been signed and dated from the person who will be receiving the commodities.  It is also important to note that you may only pick up the commodities for one person.


Monthly income eligibility guidelines are based on family size and are as follows:


1 - $1265

2 - $1705

3 - $2144

4 - $2584

5 - $3024

6 - $3464

7 - $3904

8 - $4344


For each family member above 8, add an additional $440 to the eligibility guidelines.


The Lions Club will be on hand at the distribution to provide free eye screenings.  These screenings are for anyone interested, not just those receiving commodities.
