  • How wonderful that the topic of essential oils (EOs) has piqued the interest of so many over the past few weeks!  So, let’s publish a few of those Q&As, what do you say?

Q:  What are carrier oils and why are they used with essential oils?  A:  Cold-pressed carrier oils are recommended as diluting agents when applying essential oils to the skin.  Certified pure, therapeutic grade (CPTG) essential oils are used as beneficial, healing essences and are extremely potent and highly concentrated.  Diluting with carrier oils, such as fractionated coconut oil, grape seed oil and olive oil will prevent irritation to those who may have sensitive skin.

Q:  How do EOs need to be stored?  A:  Keep essential oils at room temperature or refrigerate them.  Both methods are fine and will not decrease the potency, however it is recommended they be stored away from extreme heat.  All-natural EOs can remain effective for even 5-10 years after the date of purchase and they are highly preferred over harmful prescription drugs which normally expire within as little as 12-18 months.

Q:  Can I use essential oils after having breast implants?  A:  This is a very good question and, lucky for you, the answer is yes!  EOs will only penetrate a few layers of tissue and will not be able to reach the muscle or dermal tissues covering the implants.  Remember too that pure EOs can be safely taken internally as well as breathing them aromatically, so you actually have three choices!

Q:  Will the EOs be safe to put into a capsule?  A:  Absolutely!  Due to the strength and flavor of some essential oils, many consumers opt to purchase the empty “veggie caps” for filling with their favorite EOs.  Just be certain to swallow the capsules quickly after filling, as the oils can break down the capsules if left over an extended period of time.

Pure essential oils are extremely beneficial for medicinal purposes and are very versatile.  Over 100 uses have been found in just lemon, peppermint and lavender alone!  They can be taken internally and can be added to your drinking water or favorite beverage.  Many prefer to breathe them in aromatically, apply them topically, or add them to favorite recipes.

Essential oils lack the toxic chemicals that so many fear when searching for safe healthcare solutions.  All-natural EOs continue to get rave reviews by caring medical professionals who are concerned about providing safer, natural solutions for their patients.
