The 2nd Annual Health and Safety Expo is just a few weeks away and the Heber Springs Community Center is gearing up for another successful year. This informative event helps promote general health, wellness, and safety for the community. Various local health and safety experts will have booths at the events to provide information and answer general questions for visitors.
“This is a great way to see the services offered to our community from local businesses pertaining to health and medical issues,” said Community Center Events Coordinator Kris Kramer. “There are a lot of things involving health and medical besides doctors. We want to provide wellness information, not just for seniors, but for residents of all ages.”
In addition to the booths, the Red Cross will be on hand to take blood donations at the event. The Heber Springs Humane Society will also be present, as well as the fire department and other emergency responders. There will also be as yet to be announced speakers at the event.
Kramer said there are still booths available, so if you’re interested in getting one, you can give the Heber Springs Community Center a call at 501-362-4901.
The 2nd Annual Health Expo will take place on Thursday, September 11th, from 1-6pm on the gym floor at the Heber Springs Community Center. Admission is free.
