At the recent annual convention of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association, Ali King-Sugg was named the new President of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association Board of Directors. Sugg is the Owner and General Manager of Red River Radio, Inc. of Heber Springs and is an on-air personality in the mornings on 101.9 The Lake. “It is an honor and privilege to serve my fellow broadcasters. This is an exciting time to represent the ABA and my hope for this year is that we will be able to enhance the broadcasting climate of this state, elevate our broadcasting art, and meet the challenges of the ever-changing face of broadcasting."
Sugg replaces Bradford Caldwell of East Arkansas Broadcasters. Caldwell becomes Past-President and Lesli Griffin, of Signal Media of Little Rock, is the new President-Elect. The Arkansas Broadcasters Association has been serving radio and television stations across Arkansas since 1949. With more than 200 member stations and dozens of associate members, the ABA represents the interests of broadcasters at the federal and state level and offers services to broadcasters free or at significantly reduced rates.
