Hopewell VFD District Meeting
The Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department will host their annual District Meeting on March 2, at 7 p.m., in the main Fire Station on Firehouse Road. All residents of the Hopewell Community are encouraged to attend. Learn what's happening in your area, visit with neighbors, and enjoy a light snack.
CC Republican Party to Meet
The Cleburne County Republican Party will meet Monday, March 2, at 5:30 in the Entergy Room at ASU. Public is welcome to attend.
Wednesday Readers to Meet
The Wednesday Reader's Book Club will meet in the library March 11 at 11 a.m. to discuss Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky. Anyone interested in joining the book club may stop by the library for more information.
Lions to Meet
The Heber Springs Lions Club will have an early start at their March 3 meeting, which will begin at 6:15 p.m. A special program will be on the UAMS Foundation. The speaker for the program is Theral Andrews. The main speaker for the evening will be Mike McCullars from AETN. He will update us on programing for this year and a general overview of public broadcasting. The meeting will be held at Michael’s Restaurant.
Al-Anon to Meet
Al-Anon meets every Tuesday and Friday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the Cleburne County Housing Authority building located at the corner of N. Park and Spring Street in Heber Springs. For more info call: (501) 250-0042

Weight Watchers meets Tuesdays at the Tea Room. Weigh in is at 4:30 p.m. Meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.
Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group to Meet
Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group-Heber Springs chapter meets the 1st Tuesday each month, 6:30 pm at Red River Physical Therapy in the Cornerstone Square Building. Respite care is available during the meeting. Contact Wendy 362-7025 for more info.
Domestic Abuse Support Group
A support group is offered for those who are or have experienced domestic abuse. Members sit back and listen or join in conversation. A confidentiality agreement is signed at each meeting. The group meets every first and third Monday night at 5 p.m. Babysitter is available upon request. Call 362-6757 for details.
BHMC-HS Auxiliary to Meet
Baptist Health Medical Center-Heber Springs Auxiliary meets the third Tuesday of each month at 2:30 p.m. in the hospital cafeteria. Bingo at St. Albert Church on March 7. Come to 21 Park Road in Heber Springs and enjoy the fun and fellowship. Games begin at 5:30 p.m. Concession stand is available. Must be 18 to play. Proceeds go toward building a new church. Good payoffs. Good luck to all.
DivorceCare Support Group
DivorceCare support group meetings are being held each Thursday night from 6-8 p.m. at Lone Star Baptist Church in Greers Ferry (350 Lone Star Lane). Childcare is available. Dining and Dancing
Enjoy an evening of dining and dancing on Saturday, February 28 at 6 p.m. at the Heber Springs High School cafeteria. Dinner music will be provided by the Heber Springs High Jazz Band. Jazz Xtreme will then be playing. Tickets for both dinner and dancing are $15 per person and may be purchased from any band student, by calling the band office at 362-3141 or 362-2488 or will be available at the door. All proceeds benefit the David Elliot Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Donkey Basketball
Pangburn FBLA is sponsoring a donkey basketball game Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m. in the high school gym. Students will be competing with the adult team. Tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at the door and may be purchased from the high school office. Proceeds will help cover FBLA state conference expenses where 21 members will be participating in business related competitions. For more information, call 501-728-3513.
Heber Springs PTSO holds Kidfest
The Heber Springs PTSO will host a Kidfest on Saturday, March 7, from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. at the Heber Springs P.E. Building. Each class participates with a booth set-up carnival style. The theme this year is "Hooked on Books"! There will be food, fun, and games. Please come and support the local schools!
