David Kuh, a volunteer ambulance driver with the Greers Ferry Emergency Medical Services, spearheaded an effort to secure funds to replenish the organization’s operating funds following the purchase of a new ambulance. He worked with Cleburne County Judge Jerry Holmes’ Office for preparation of a General Improvement Grant (GIF) through White River Planning and Development District. Senator Missy Irvin enabled the Medical Services to receive this $5,000.00 grant.

According to Kuh, the Greers Ferry Emergency Medical Services is the only 100 percent volunteer ambulance service in the State of Arkansas. The Ambulance Service, whose funding comes exclusively from donations, provides emergency medical services, without billing, to the residents of this rural area.
