Ten lovely residents of Seven Springs Nursing Home vied for the title Queen of Seven Springs on Tuesday.  Contestants were Diana Graen, Annette Crossman, Sharon Woods, Denise Lewis, Laticia “Tootie” Francis, Della O’Neal, Vicki Vincent, Vera Woods, Jewel Alley and Dorothy Gene Jackson. Ladies were escorted by members of the American Legion Post 64 Honor Guard, Bonnie Tatum, Larry Vandekoven, Ken Day, Charles Kerr and Kenneth Wahlgren.

Chamber of Commerce Director Julie Murray, Mayor Jimmy Clark and The Sun Times Editor, Dawn Teer served as judges in the competition.

Awards for Best Dressed went to Diana Graen and Dorothy Gene Jackson, Best Smile went to Jewel Alley and Denise Lewis, Best Hair Do went to Della O’Neal and Best Smile went to Annette Crossman. Miss Congeniality was Vicki Vincent, 2nd runner up went to Laticia “Tootie” Francis, 1st runner up was Vera Woods and Sharon Woods was named Queen, Woods is no stranger to being named Queen. In her younger years Woods was named Miss San Joaquin Valley, Miss Legrand and Miss Planada.

Woods will go on to compete at the state level.
